Scanfil is taking steps to explore how AI can enhance daily work at Scanfil. By proof of concept (POC) testing AI-powered solutions, Scanfil is learning how modern technology can make quality management smarter and more efficient.  

“A dedicated project team, including factory quality teams, global quality, and IT, has been testing AI’s potential in analyzing complaint data. The goal is to speed up trend identification, suggest corrective actions, and automate Eight Disciplines Methodology (8D) reports to make the processes even more effective. The team has carefully evaluated different use cases and analyzed how different AI solutions support quality management operations, while ensuring that the approach is both innovative and effective,” says Vesa Weiste, Global Head of Quality and Functionality at Scanfil.   

The testing of AI solutions covers numerous aspects of the quality management processes. By leveraging AI technology, Scanfil aims to handle vast amounts of data more efficiently, which includes monitoring real-time data and historical records. This allows to predict potential issues before they escalate, ensuring that the operations run smoothly.
